We serve Here there and Everywhere
Need help with yard work? Have some baby furniture you are done with? Unable to repair your broken appliance? Do you long to love and serve the family of God, but don’t know where to start? That’s where The Blessing Connection comes in!
This exciting resource at Maple Ridge Community Church is a way for people to voice their needs in order to give the church an opportunity to serve each other. We will help to match up needs with abilities/donations.
How to sign up:
1. If you have a need (such as help around the house, or an item you can’t afford), fill in a Blessing Connection Card found on the bulletin board in the foyer hallway and pin it on the board on the appropriate side (Goods or Services).
2. If you have a way that you can help people (such as emergency babysitting, help with fixing things around the house, or items you can donate) fill in a Blessing Connection Card found on the bulletin board in the foyer hallway and pin it on the board on the appropriate side (Goods or Services).
Our church family can then view the bulletin board in the foyer to access and help serve and love the body of Christ. In the end, people get their needs met, and others reap the blessing of sowing into brother or sister’s life. Everybody benefits, and all the glory goes to God!
“Do good to all, especially those of the household of faith.” Galatians 6:10

It may be a surprise for you to learn, but in every high school in Maple Ridge there are youth coming to school without having had breakfast and without a lunch, nor with the means to purchase them! This may be due to any number of reasons like family dynamics or financial hardship. We discovered this because a Youth care worker at one of our schools was distributing frozen waffles and pizza pops to over 15 youth daily!
As a result, YFC Youth Unlimited and MRCC have been flipping pancakes and serving sausages to over 150 students weekly at one community High School. This service of MRCC volunteers has allowed for the target groups needs to be met AND we’ve been able to provide for their friends and other students as well, allowing us to not stigmatize this important need.
The ministry has proven to be more than meeting physical needs. It has allowed the church to play an active and vital role in its community, and the community is seeing that the church actually does care AND is not so “scary” after all. This allows Youth Unlimited opportunities to interact with students that they would normally not have any chance to otherwise. A definite “win-win” opportunity!
This ministry is part of an multi church service to the School District, administrated by YFC Youth Unlimited.
Is a ministry where we serve dinner to the people of Ridge Meadows. We share the love of God by giving them food for their body, kindness for their souls and hope for their future. We serve the meal every Friday night 6pm-7pm. Everyone is welcome to volunteer. For more info or to be apart of this rewarding ministry, contact Kate.
