LEAD PASTOR - dUANE GOerZEN

Duane has served as lead pastor in this community for over 16 years. Back at the beginning, when his hair was long, he was working with youth. He took a break from ministry to tear down sawmills and sell cars, while God refined his character. He returned to Maple Ridge Community Church to serve as a volunteer worship leader for many years before God restored him to full-time ministry. 

He is passionate about the things of God, including prayer and the equipping of families. He is privileged to be married to the beautiful Melody and have four strapping lads spanning 16 years, one daughter-in-law and three grandchildren. They enjoy the outdoors and can be seen gardening or cheering on their favourite football teams.

ASSOCIATE PASTOR - JASON DOUBROFF

Jason started at Maple Ridge Community Church in August of 2016. He is married to his beautiful wife Carolyn since 2006 and they have 3 wonderful children, a son Zeke, born 2010, a daughter Tegan, born 2012, and another son Elisha, born 2014.  Jason lived in Surrey for most of his life while Carolyn grew up in Denver, Colorado.  They met each other while attending Bible School in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  

Their heart and passion is to see people walking with God for their entire lives. They want each man and woman to know what God thinks of them and to help them discover how God has made them.

ADMINSTRATor - Tanice fox

Tanice has been MRCC’s Administrator since February 2021. Tanice, her husband Martin and their kids have been attending MRCC since 2018. Tanice’s servant heart made her an easy addition to our staff. When you meet Tanice you can see the joy of the Lord in her. We all look forward to her walking out her administrative gifting’s as she serves our Church family.  

Tanice values family, friends and believes God has called us to be in relationship and walk things out together. Tanice spends time digging into God’s word and loves journaling the journey that God is taking her through. She treasures the moments she has loving her four wonderful children and husband They enjoy laughing and playing games together as a family. 

Pastoral Intern - Blayd M. Pires

Blayd is called into Pastoral Ministry. 

He grew up at Maple Ridge Community Church but left to Intern at Village Church in 2017. After a few years of College, and working at Ridge Church as the Jr. Youth Director, Blayd would then complete his studies at Village School of Ministry, and at Pacific Life Bible College. Blayd is very excited to be back at Maple Ridge Community Church leading the Young Adult and Youth Ministries.

Blayd is married to his best friend and high school sweetheart, Olivia Jane, and they both reside in Maple Ridge. You can find Blayd cheering on his favourite sports teams: the Toronto Blue Jays, Calgary Flames, and Newcastle United.

Blayd is currently completing his Masters Degree in Biblical Leadership at North West Seminary through the Immerse Program.

BOOKKEEPER/TREASURER/OPERATIONS - KATE HEATH

Kate started working again at MRCC in November 2023. She was our Admin assistant from 2016-2020. We’re happy to have her back in the office in a new role overseeing all things financial, as well as overseeing the church operations.

Kate has been attending MRCC since 2008. She loves to read, volunteer and spend time with her two daughters. Kate values authentic relationships with people, learning more about God and who He is and helping those around her know Him more.
